Pink Blackcurrant & Cream Layered Lamingtons
I recently had the pleasure of working with two amazing brands who collaborated for World Lamington Day. Wiltshire & Bonne Maman Jams. Yum. I developed and photographed a recipe that incorporated both Wiltshire products - The 2L Brownie Pan and the use of Bonna Maman Blackcurrant Conserve.
The process in developing a recipe is scouring the internet for ideas and what combination works best together. I knew I wanted to create a layered lamington with the cream and jam combo in the middle but something a little bit different. Instead of the usual chocolate icing on the outside I thought a white chocolate ganache coloured pink would make such a statement and make a nice point of difference! Don’t you think? Photographing these lamingtons were a dream and I went with a more feminine feel. I chose a background that would support this and the colour of the lamingtons without overpowering the scene.
In planning how to shoot these lamingtons I needed to make sure I incorporated both of the products that are collaborating together and show them both equally in the shot. The first shot did this and showcased each perfectly. The subsequent shots then were able to take some variations for each product showcasing them up a bit closer such as the Bonne Maman Jam jar alongside the lamington. Each company then will have a set of shots for social media and website use.
